The Opportunity

We’re working with an ambitious, independently owned digital agency in West Yorkshire that is entering an exciting period of growth.

The agency has built a strong reputation for delivering digital and ecommerce solutions for established brands across sectors including furniture, homeware, cosmetics and consumer products. With a growing client base and a strong delivery proposition, they’re now looking to appoint a Head of Growth to take ownership of the agency’s new-business strategy and build a consistent, scalable pipeline.

This is a hands-on commercial role for someone who enjoys opening doors, developing relationships and converting opportunities into long-term clients.

Importantly, this isn't a role for someone who simply relies on an established network or a well-worn contact book. The agency is looking for someone who can build the pipeline and the process from the ground up.

The Role

As Head of Growth, you’ll take responsibility for identifying and creating new commercial opportunities across the agency's core services.

You’ll work closely with the senior leadership and delivery teams to define target markets, develop propositions and establish a structured approach to outbound business development.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Owning and delivering the agency’s new-business and growth strategy
  • Building a consistent, qualified pipeline of prospective clients
  • Developing and executing outbound prospecting campaigns
  • Identifying target sectors, businesses and decision-makers
  • Creating compelling propositions around the agency’s digital and ecommerce capabilities
  • Building relationships with senior stakeholders across prospective clients
  • Managing opportunities through the full sales cycle, from initial contact through to close
  • Leading pitches, proposals and commercial negotiations
  • Developing a structured CRM and pipeline management process
  • Working closely with technical, creative and delivery teams to shape appropriate solutions
  • Identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts alongside generating new business
  • Tracking pipeline performance, conversion rates and commercial KPIs
  • Helping shape the agency’s wider go-to-market strategy as the business grows

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What Makes This Role Different?

This is an opportunity to have a genuine impact on the commercial direction of an independent agency.

You won’t be inheriting a huge sales team or simply managing an established pipeline. Instead, you’ll have the opportunity to build the growth function, introduce process and create a repeatable new-business engine.

For the right person, there is significant scope to shape how the agency approaches:

  • Targeting → Prospecting → Pipeline → Pitches → Conversion → Growth

As the agency continues to scale, there is also the opportunity for this role to develop into a broader commercial leadership position.

Location

The agency is based in West Yorkshire, with a hybrid working model. Candidates based in Yorkshire or within a reasonable commute of the office would be particularly welcome, although location is not a deal-breaker for someone with the right experience and approach.

The Package

A competitive salary and benefits package is available, alongside a performance-focused incentive structure designed to reward successful new business growth.

The exact package will be shaped around the experience and commercial track record of the successful candidate.

Interested?

If you're an experienced agency commercial professional who wants to take genuine ownership of growth, and build something rather than simply inherit it, we'd be interested in hearing from you.

All applications will be treated confidentially.
