Augmentum Media - Head of Growth

Salary: £50-60k per annum base salary with OTE of £90-120k
Location: UK, remote

We're a fast-scaling influencer, creator and affiliate marketing agency built for health and wellness DTC brands. We've worked with the largest and fastest-growing brands in the world, and we run a suite of full-funnel influencer marketing services end-to-end.

Job Summary

The Head of Growth’s role is a pivotal position within Augmentum Media, at an exciting time of fast growth as an agency. Reporting directly to the Founders, you will be responsible for driving the growth of the agency through prospecting, nurturing and winning high-value opportunities for the business.

The Head of Growth will own new business opportunities, aiming to convert these opportunities into new contracts. The Head of Growth will also own the sales process but work alongside the wider team to bring together the best ideas and solutions for the clients.

  • You'll own the sales engine end to end, from prospecting to pitch to close, working directly alongside the two founders.
  • You’ll be backed by a very healthy marketing budget, and an already strong pipeline of warm inbound leads from a variety of sources.
  • Influencer is the fastest-growing channel in DTC and is overtaking the traditional agency model. You'll be selling something brands actually want to buy.

About You

You will have a proven track record of creating and winning new business opportunities, hitting annual targets and managing opportunities that the company pitches for.

You have 5 years+ of experience in B2B sales (ideally 3+ of those in agency sales) and you have pitched for opportunities with annual contact values of £150k or higher. You have delivered against annual individual billable targets of £500k+

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the CRM, ensuring the pipeline is accurate, up to date, and actively progressed.
  • Continuously help build a comprehensive prospecting list and ensure Augmentum Media’s CRM system is used to its full capability.
  • Be considered a true champion of all relevant internal systems and New Business processes, covering everything from accounting and CRM software to briefing sheets, decks, onboarding material etc. Be a go-to expert in the agency for questions on all of these systems.
  • Own and achieve your sales target each year through a combination of inbound and outbound opportunities.
  • Use a multi-channel approach to identify, target and educate Augmentum Media’s ICP.
  • Be numbers- and KPI-driven, hitting consistent activity week on week.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform targeting strategy, sourcing more of the agencies ICP.
  • Report on your own and the agency's commercial performance.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Augmentum Media’s target audience personas and work with marketing to expand our target list of prospects to nurture each month.
  • Feed key information to Augmentum Media’s marketing function to ensure the agency can produce content that resonates with our target prospects. Working on activations, such as events and whitepapers.
  • Provide feedback from prospects to shape service development and positioning
  • Work with the wider agency to ensure Augmentum Media has a compelling value proposition against key competitors and demonstrate continued success through winning competitive pitches.
  • Negotiate commercial contracts and ensure that Augmentum Media can achieve its growth targets whilst retaining the strength of its contractual position.
  • Build relationships with all levels of stakeholder, from CMOs and CEOs through to the wider marketing teams.
  • Review briefs and ask the right questions to help interrogate the brief in order to pull out the most valuable insights to help educate our proposal.
  • Provide the highest level of service and the best customer experience in all pitch processes that you manage, ensuring every client is wowed by their experience with us during pitch processes.
  • Demonstrate commercial astuteness when discussing clients businesses and business conditions, showing that you acutely understand their business model.
  • Have a complete knowledge of the new client onboarding process, able to complete this fully unassisted.
  • Hold complete accountability for the pitch process, how it runs and the role you play in ensuring it is smooth for both the team and adds value for the prospect.
  • Influence the pitch narrative and ensure we correctly craft our proposition to maximise the outcomes from each pitch. Focusing on ensuring we challenge briefs, solve genuine business problems and tell engaging and interesting stories in the process.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to our customer base:
    • Recognise cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts and partner with senior service leads to drive the conversations.
    • Position additional products and services as natural extensions of current workflows, ensuring upsell recommendations clearly demonstrate ROI and meet client objectives.
    • Keep up to date on progress of our key clients.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of outbound sales development experience. Preferably at a marketing agency or SaaS business that targeted C-Suite, Directors or senior decision makers.
  • Experience and proven track record of building and owning the outbound sales strategy for a marketing agency or SaaS based business.
  • Proven track record of hitting ambitious sales targets through a combination of inbound and self-generated opportunities.
  • Ability to identify target clients and build extensive prospecting lists.
  • Experience in working with marketing teams to craft content for outreach purposes that ‘cuts through the noise’ and resonates with our prospects.
  • Confident and proficient on calls, emails and other professional channels that help you to achieve your goals.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with outbound sales tools.
  • Credible subject knowledge across our key delivery channels.
  • Good knowledge of the wider marketing mix.
  • Strong communication, verbal and written, with ability to ‘translate’ for those who don’t have technical knowledge.
  • Completely results and targets driven. You will be hungry to track, measure and report on your performance.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and pride in any work produced.

Desired Skills

  • 3+ years of agency outbound sales experience.
  • A positive and creative thinker, with a passion for all things influencer marketing.
  • Excellent knowledge of the wider marketing mix.
  • Experience working on multi-channel digital campaigns.
  • Experience with managing multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Experience and proven track record of building and owning the outbound sales strategy for a digital marketing agency.

  • £50-60k base (depending on experience) with a realistic Year 1 OTE of £90-100k, uncapped
