About Jumpspeak
Jumpspeak helps people speak new languages confidently through AI-powered conversations and immersive practice.
Our primary growth engine is paid advertising that converts customers through web funnels and brings them into our mobile app. We’re hiring a Head of Growth to scale that engine, improve the economics of the entire customer journey, and expand into new channels and international markets.
We’re looking for someone who has personally scaled a consumer business from a smaller baseline to $300,000+ per day in paid advertising spend—and can demonstrate how they did it profitably.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who combines deep paid acquisition expertise with strong commercial judgment. You should be equally comfortable deciding where to allocate the next dollar of advertising spend, diagnosing a checkout conversion problem, evaluating customer lifetime value, and building a team to launch a localized market. You’ll report directly to the CEO and oversee our Media Buyer and Head of Creative Performance.
The Opportunity
Your mandate is to grow profitable acquisition and contribution margin dollars, not simply increase advertising spend.
That means scaling what already works, improving monetization and retention, and identifying growth opportunities we haven’t discovered yet. Paid acquisition will remain the primary engine, supported by a disciplined approach to conversion optimization, lifecycle marketing, international expansion, and product-led growth.
You’ll have direct access to the founder, meaningful ownership over growth strategy and execution, and the opportunity to build the team and systems needed for our next stage of scale.
What You’ll Own
Paid acquisition and profitable scale
Lead our paid acquisition strategy, with Meta as the primary channel, alongside Google, YouTube, TikTok, AppLovin, podcast sponsorships, and other paid distribution opportunities.
Own budget allocation, testing, scaling decisions, and performance across channels, markets, audiences, and offers. Know when to push spend, when to improve the underlying economics, and when to stop investing.
Our core acquisition model is web conversion—not app-install campaigns. You need to understand how to turn paid traffic into customers through landing pages, quizzes, checkouts, upfront purchases, and free-trial offers.
Full-funnel conversion and monetization
Own the growth experimentation roadmap across landing pages, quiz funnels, checkout, pricing, offers, upsells, and mobile app paywalls. Identify where customers drop off, develop clear hypotheses, and work with product, design, engineering, and creative teams to ship improvements. Optimize for the combination of conversion rate, average order value, customer quality, and downstream profitability—not an isolated metric. This includes testing checkout prices, subscription structures, bundles, trial versus upfront offers, and the transition from web purchase to the mobile app experience.
Lifecycle marketing and retention
Lead lifecycle initiatives that improve conversion, retention, and customer lifetime value.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Oversee email marketing across abandoned checkouts, onboarding, trial conversion, engagement, renewals, and reactivation. Improve the cancellation experience, test relevant retention offers, and identify opportunities to reduce avoidable churn.
Connect acquisition decisions to what happens after the first purchase, including refunds, renewals, retention, and realized customer value.
International market expansion
Build a repeatable approach to launching and scaling international markets, particularly localized, non-English-speaking markets.
Go beyond translating existing ads. Understand how local customer motivations, creative, messaging, pricing, currencies, payment preferences, and conversion experiences affect performance.
Determine which markets deserve investment, establish criteria for scaling or stopping, and build the right team around successful launches—including native-market creative talent, localization support, and market-specific growth ownership.
Measurement and growth economics
Build a clear view of performance across the entire customer journey.

Team leadership and execution
Manage our Media Buyer and Head of Creative Performance, setting clear priorities, accountability, and performance expectations.
Partner closely with the Head of Creative Performance to connect creative insights with acquisition results. Ensure testing produces actionable learning and winning concepts receive the budget and iteration needed to scale.
Identify hiring needs, recruit strong operators and specialists, and build a growth organization that can execute across multiple channels and markets without depending on the CEO for day-to-day decisions.
New growth opportunities
Expand distribution through both new channels and new markets within existing channels.
Identify product-led growth opportunities, referral mechanics, partnerships, cross-sells, and other ways to acquire, activate, retain, or monetize customers. Evaluate these opportunities rigorously while keeping the team focused on the highest-impact work.
We want someone who can improve the current playbook—and recognize when there is a better one.
What We’re Looking For
A proven scaling track record. You have personally led a consumer business from a lower spending baseline to $300,000+ per day in paid media spend, sustained at meaningful scale with healthy unit economics. We want to understand what you built, not just the budget you inherited or aggregate spend across an agency’s clients. Deep expertise in direct-response, web-conversion acquisition. You have extensive hands-on Meta experience and a track record across multiple additional paid channels. Experience limited to app-install campaigns, brand marketing, or lead generation does not meet the core requirement. Experience with a comparable business model and price point. Consumer subscriptions, digital education, language learning, and similar digital products are particularly relevant. Experience at companies such as MasterClass, Babbel, or comparable businesses is a strong fit—especially where you owned web acquisition through upfront purchases or free trials. International scaling and team-building experience. You have successfully grown beyond an English-speaking home market, ideally through localized non-English campaigns and funnels, and understand how to hire and organize a team around that expansion. Strong analytical and commercial judgment. You can move from a cohort analysis to a specific growth decision. You understand how acquisition, pricing, conversion, retention, and margin interact—and can explain those trade-offs clearly. Hands-on leadership. You can lead experienced specialists while remaining close enough to the work to challenge assumptions, diagnose problems, and drive execution. You take ownership of outcomes, prioritize well, and move quickly without sacrificing measurement quality.

What Success Looks Like in the First 60–90 Days
You should be able to establish a reliable performance baseline, identify the biggest constraints on profitable growth, and execute the highest-impact improvements across acquisition, conversion, monetization, or retention.
We expect the right candidate to demonstrate measurable ROI within the first 60–90 days through incremental contribution profit that justifies the investment in the role. A larger advertising budget alone is not the outcome.
By this point, we should also have clear team accountability, an active experimentation roadmap, and an evidence-backed plan for scaling existing markets and expanding into the most promising new opportunities.
Compensation
We offer a competitive base salary plus meaningful performance-based bonuses tied to both:
- Profitable ad-spend scale: Sustained increases in advertising investment while meeting agreed efficiency and profitability thresholds.
- Contribution margin growth: Measurable increases in contribution margin dollars, not simply revenue or platform-attributed returns.
Performance will be assessed against agreed baselines that account for seasonality, so incentives reward genuine incremental growth.
How to Apply
Along with your résumé or LinkedIn profile, share a brief case study of the most relevant consumer business you helped scale.
Include the starting and ending daily ad spend, the timeframe, the business model and price point, the channels and markets involved, and your personal responsibilities. Explain what happened to acquisition costs, payback, and contribution margin as spend increased—and which changes you made had the greatest impact.
We care most about what you’ve built, the results you can substantiate, and your ability to repeat that success at Jumpspeak.
