An ambitious technology business serving the eCommerce market is looking for a commercially minded, highly analytical Head of Growth. This is an opportunity to build a demand-generation function, test your ideas and take ownership of the results.
You’ll market a technology solution to decision-makers within eCommerce businesses, rather than consumers. The objective is clear: generate qualified pipeline that converts into paying business customers.
The role
Reporting directly to the founder, you’ll own growth strategy and execution across paid acquisition, content, positioning and website conversion.
This is a senior individual contributor role, not a position focused solely on managing a team. You’ll need to move comfortably between analysing performance, setting priorities and getting campaigns live.
We’re looking for someone who combines commercial judgement with analytical depth: someone who questions assumptions, identifies where the funnel is underperforming and uses evidence to decide what to test, improve or stop.
What you’ll own
- Build a B2B demand-generation strategy with a clear connection between marketing investment, qualified opportunities and customer acquisition.
- Manage paid campaigns across LinkedIn, Meta and emerging channels, testing audiences, messaging and creative to identify what delivers commercially.
- Analyse the acquisition funnel to understand conversion rates, cost per sales-qualified lead and the speed at which opportunities progress.
- Translate performance data into decisions about budget allocation, campaign priorities and further experimentation.
- Develop content that helps business buyers understand the product’s value, including customer stories, industry insights and sales-supporting materials.
- Refine positioning and messaging so the business stands out to relevant eCommerce decision-makers.
- Improve search visibility, landing pages and website conversion, working closely with the founder on content and website updates.
- Establish clear reporting that shows what is generating pipeline and customers—not simply activity or engagement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
