About Sparta
Sparta is the next-generation, AI-first commodity trading data platform, delivering market intelligence that empowers traders and analysts across the energy sector. We combine the broadest set of broker and pricing data with real-time predictive intelligence, news and insight, helping trading desks make better decisions, faster.
We closed a $42M Series B in 2025 and are scaling fast. It's a great time to join us and help build the future of market intelligence for commodity trading.
This role reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and can be based in either London or Geneva.
The Role
Sparta has the raw material most companies never get: a well-defined ICP with an engaged audience of traders, a genuine PR and analyst engine, product usage telemetry, and a stack rich with intent data. What we don't have yet is all of it connected into one demand engine that turns every signal into pipeline and revenue.
That's your remit. You'll build and run Sparta's demand engine end to end, from the first buying signal to closed revenue, on a single unified pipeline in HubSpot. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role: you'll design the architecture and set the strategy from day one, then build and lead the team around it as it proves out.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You'll Be Doing
- Scale the demand-creation engine that's already working (analyst commentary, PR, webinars, the Market Outlook) and build a website and programs that turn our community into signal.
- Build the process to catch in-market demand the moment it appears, running paid, retargeting, SEO/AEO and lifecycle programmes.
- Own the signal-based pipeline architecture, unifying first-, second- and third-party signals into one HubSpot record.
- Fix and own the martech stack (HubSpot, Clay, ZoomInfo, Lemlist, event tooling) and cut what overlaps.
- Replace vanity metrics with honest reporting: real conversion rates, real source of pipeline, numbers the business can actually plan against.
- Build the marketing-to-sales handover that works: shared lead definitions, SLAs, and an account-based motion inside our existing accounts.
About You
- A track record building and running a demand engine in B2B SaaS: you've owned pipeline and revenue, not just leads and MQLs.
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot, intent platforms and preferably also Clay: workflows, lead scoring, lifecycle stages, attribution and reporting. You can build automation, not just brief it.
- Strong collaborator with Rev Ops, as we build one clean, signal-based pipeline.
- Fluency with intent and signal-based marketing, and the discipline to make signals drive action.
- Comfortable being the person who says the real number out loud, even when it's not the one on the dashboard.
- The judgement to set strategy with the CMO, prioritise ruthlessly, and hire and grow a team as the function scales.
