Professional Services Business Development & Sales

London / hybrid | Full-time | Permanent | up to £60,000 plus attractive OTE

We are looking for a bold and brave, mission-led hunter who knows how to open the right doors.

We’re hiring on behalf of a really cool, mission-led organisation with ambitious plans to widen access to opportunity and create lasting social impact.

It’s looking for a senior business developer who has sold professional services to organisations and knows how to turn a cold start into a trusted relationship, a strong proposal and a signed partnership.

You might have worked across early careers, ED&I, human capital strategy, talent, workforce transformation or a related professional services field. You’ll be comfortable holding your own in C-level conversations, asking good questions and connecting a client’s business priorities to a clear, valuable offer.

This is a hunter role. You’ll be expected to create opportunities, build a pipeline and convert new business, not wait for the phone to ring or an email to drop.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the CEO and senior team, you’ll lead business development and sales across corporate partnerships, membership and philanthropy. Your main focus will be opening and developing relationships with businesses, from ambitious organisations to major employers and global corporates.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You’ll identify where the organisation can make a difference, shape a compelling offer and build partnerships that deliver value for clients while advancing the mission. You’ll also help refine propositions, pricing and the organisation’s wider commercial approach as it grows.

The role has room to build. You’ll bring energy, commercial judgement and structure, while working with colleagues focused on partnerships and philanthropic income.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify, approach and win new business with organisations that can benefit from the organisation’s services and mission.
  • Build relationships with CEOs and other senior decision-makers, including leaders in HR, Talent, Early Careers, ED&I and People.
  • Sell professional services through a consultative approach: understand the client’s challenges, shape the right response and make the value clear.
  • Develop opportunities across early careers, ED&I, human capital strategy, talent and workforce priorities.
  • Create and manage a strong new-business pipeline, from first contact through proposal, negotiation and close.
  • Develop corporate partnerships and membership opportunities, and contribute to growth across philanthropy.
  • Work with colleagues to shape propositions, pricing and partnership models that meet client needs and support the mission.
  • Represent the organisation with confidence, credibility and conviction.

You Could Be a Great Fit If You…

  • Have a successful track record in business development and sales for professional services.
  • Have sold into areas such as early careers, ED&I, human capital strategy, talent, workforce transformation or related services.
  • Are confident initiating and leading conversations with C-suite executives and other senior stakeholders.
  • Know how to build a network, create opportunities and convert relationships into revenue.
  • Can develop a proposition around a client’s needs, rather than rely on a standard pitch.
  • Bring commercial focus, resilience and the confidence to ask for the business.
  • Are bold and brave in your approach, and motivated by a mission with real purpose.

Why Join?

This is a chance to build something with purpose and commercial ambition. You’ll have the freedom to open new doors, shape the offer and help a growing organisation reach more people through partnerships that make a difference.

We’re looking for a mission-led hunter: someone who can move confidently between purpose and profit, hold their own in the boardroom and bring the energy to make things happen.

If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
