I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You Will Do
- Scale a product members love returning to. Own the product roadmap and run product growth experiments that improve activation, retention, and referrals. Use onboarding, personalization, social features, rewards, and game design to make learning more engaging.
- Accelerate member acquisition. Expand organic growth through ambassadors, referrals, creators, and influencers, supported by disciplined paid marketing. Lead our expansion into target markets such as North America.
- Bring Product and Growth together. Align both teams around shared priorities. Partner with Engineering and Data Science to turn member insights into improvements, from idea through launch and measurement.
- Set the standard for every detail. Take responsibility for the quality of the entire member experience, from the clarity of a notification and the simplicity of a product flow to the strength of an ad hook. Combine sharp copy, thoughtful design, and precise execution.
- Experiment with purpose. Speak with members, understand where they lose interest, and test ways to keep them engaged. Run A/B tests, assess retention over time, and use the findings to decide what to scale, improve, or stop.
- Hire and lead a strong team. Choose priorities, develop your people, and direct budget toward lasting growth. Move quickly, remove obstacles, and take responsibility for results.

What You Bring
- You know how to scale. You have personally helped scale a digital product serving millions, ideally where what worked early stopped working and needed new methods. You can explain what you owned, what you changed, and the results.
- Depth in product growth. You have shipped experiments that improved retention and referrals alongside acquisition. Experience in Social, Gaming, or EdTech is particularly relevant.
- Ownership and urgency. You take ownership of the outcome, move with urgency, and follow through with intensity. You find ways forward with limited resources and stay close enough to the work to solve problems yourself.
- Instinctive Gen Z fluency. You live and breathe the platforms, creators, communities, and formats shaping how Gen Z communicates. You know what earns attention, what gets shared, and what feels forced.
- Exceptional attention to detail. You recognize strong design and sharp copy, and notice the friction others miss. You care about the small decisions that make an experience feel effortless.
- Analytical and creative judgment. You can interpret a retention curve, improve a creator brief, and work through a product decision with engineers.
- Commitment to the mission. You want to use your expertise to transform lives. Helping millions of young people gain skills, confidence, and access to opportunity is work you are ready to invest yourself in.
