About MSL
MSL is an experiential marketing agency that designs, builds and delivers live events for leading global brands, from exhibitions and trade shows to roadshows, product placements and brand campaigns across the UK. Much of our work is in the automotive sector, where we’ve built a strong reputation for delivering high-profile events to an exceptional standard.
About the role
We’re growing, and we’ve created a new role to lead that growth. As Head of Growth, you’ll own our outbound new business function, reporting directly to the Managing Director and building the pipeline that takes MSL to the next stage.
This is a true hunter role. You’ll identify the brands, corporate marketing teams and creative agencies we should be working with, open conversations with key decision-makers and win the brief. Once an opportunity is secured, you’ll hand it over to our client services and delivery teams, keeping your focus on new business.
It’s a role with genuine autonomy and visibility. You’ll have the freedom to shape how we approach new business, and your impact on the company’s growth will be clear from day one.
What you’ll be doing
- Owning outbound new business, targeting high-value brands, corporate accounts and creative agencies
- Generating your own appointments through phone, email, LinkedIn and networking
- Researching markets and mapping decision-makers, including Marketing Directors, Brand Managers and Agency Heads
- Leading credentials presentations, discovery meetings and initial pitches
- Taking accurate client briefs and translating them clearly for our pitch and delivery teams
- Handing over secured opportunities smoothly to Client Services and project delivery
- Managing a clean CRM pipeline and reporting on activity, meetings booked and pipeline value
- Working with the Managing Director to align outbound strategy with our growth plans

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
