Head of Health and Safety
Salary: Circa £100,000 plus benefits
Location: London
Are you ready to lead health and safety at a senior level within a dynamic, high-profile organisation? Do you thrive on developing strategies that embed a strong safety culture and enhance operational performance?
We are seeking an experienced leader to drive health and safety excellence across iconic London-based operations, including estate management, retail, residential and commercial buildings. This role offers strategic influence, operational oversight, and the opportunity to shape safety culture at a senior level, managing a team and reporting to the Group Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing strategic direction and inspirational leadership to the HSW team to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
- Developing and embedding a robust safety culture aligned with organisational values and regulatory standards.
- Influencing senior stakeholders to ensure accountability for HSW performance across the estate.
- Overseeing risk management, audit processes, and compliance with relevant legislation such as ISO 45001 and CDM Regulations.
- Leading incident investigations and driving organisational learnings to enhance safety outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate
- A degree, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, with chartered IOSH or IIRSM membership ideally.
- Extensive experience leading HSW in complex operational environments, preferably within large-scale estate or property portfolios.
- Proven ability to influence and build credibility with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of current health, safety, and wellbeing legislation and best practices.
