Head of Health, Safety and Environment
Heathgate Search is pleased to partner with a great Manufacturing business in Essex to appoint a Head of Health, Safety and Environment.
The salary is between £50,000 - £70,000 per annum DOE.
The working hours are 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday and you will be required on-site full-time.
This is an exceptional opportunity, and you will be required to:
- Set and implement the Health, Safety and Environmental strategy
- Provide competent HSE advice, drive continuous improvement, and create a positive environmental and safety culture
- Be the Subject Matter Expert for HSE, maintain statutory inspections and complete accident and incident investigations
- Manage contractors, RAMS and the PTW system
- Implement a HSE training plan, support employee well-being and develop plans for emergency response
- Drive sustainability initiatives, lead the environmental management system and monitor environmental performance and waste management
- Ensure compliance with HSE legislation, ISO management systems, DSEAR, ATEX, BRCGS and GMP

Experience:
- NEBOSH Diploma or an equivalent level qualification
- HSE experience in the Manufacturing sector (Chemical, FMCG, Hazardous) or a transferable industry
- CMIOSH or working towards
- Environmental qualifications or memberships
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Energetic and engaging, with a great ability to influence across all levels
