About The Job

The role is the senior lead position to deliver our health and safety agenda, which impacts on every aspect of the business. This is articulated through our 5-year business plan which is set and approved by the Directors and Shareholders, in line with our aspirations to be market leader. Evidence of a positive safety culture is a fundamental success factor for this post.

As the principal advisor to the Directors and shareholders on H&S matters, there will be a priority to co-ordinate the activities of all employee’s compliance duties, oversee the translation of strategy into a comprehensive set of objectives with a strong focus on delivery.

We believe in the importance of our people, their knowledge, competency and approach towards compliance. This role must encourage, motivate and support them to maximise their potential. By collaborating with a range of senior managers, across different technical departments (Projects, Commercial, HR, Mechanical, Electrical, Building, Fire and Security) the role will seek to maximise H&S performance, quality planning and reporting.

As a trusted source of technical information, it is vital that all levels of the business are coached, instructed and trained – this role will set the benchmark for all H&S standards. This involves working with the Head of ESG to co-ordinate the wider compliance and risk agenda, as well as the management of information through the IMS (Integrated Management System) for all ISO certification and wider industry standards.

Supporting the Pre-Construction functions to develop key relationships with clients, supply chain and ensuring the best possible presentation of company H&S capability is a fundamental element of the role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
