An established and highly respected UK construction business is looking to appoint an experienced Head of Health & Safety to lead and develop its health, safety and wellbeing strategy across the organisation.
This is a senior leadership opportunity where you'll work closely with the Managing Director and Board, driving a positive safety culture, ensuring legislative compliance, and continuously improving health and safety performance across multiple projects and business functions.
The Role
Key Responsibilities Include
- Leading the company's Health & Safety strategy and promoting best practice throughout the business.
- Providing expert advice to Directors and senior leadership on all health and safety matters.
- Managing, coaching and developing the Health & Safety team.
- Ensuring compliance with current Health & Safety legislation and Building Safety requirements.
- Leading accident, incident and near-miss investigations, implementing lessons learned.
- Monitoring performance, identifying trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supporting client bids, audits and accreditations including CHAS.
- Building strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, insurers and supply chain partners.
- Promoting wellbeing initiatives and fostering a proactive safety culture across the business.

About You
We're looking for an experienced Health & Safety professional who has:
- A proven track record in a senior Health & Safety leadership role within the construction industry.
- Excellent knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and Building Safety regulations.
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience influencing senior leadership teams and driving cultural change.
- The ability to develop teams, improve systems and implement best practice across a growing business.
- A proactive, collaborative approach with a genuine passion for creating safer working environments.
