This role provides strategic leadership for the Council's health, safety and wellbeing agenda and leads the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Team in delivering high-quality professional services across the organisation.
The successful candidate will provide expert leadership and advice on all aspects of health and safety, work collaboratively with senior leaders and stakeholders, lead compliance and improvement programmes, and support the Council in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment. The role also includes responsibility for incident management, health and safety performance, contract management, and the continued development of a positive health, safety and wellbeing culture.

This opportunity would suit an experienced leader with a strong background in health and safety, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence and drive improvement across a large and complex organisation.
