Help Shape the Future of Health, Safety & Quality at Hollis
At Hollis, we believe the best ideas come from people who are trusted to make things happen.
We're looking for an experienced Health, Safety & Quality leader to help shape the next chapter of our specialist service. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, entrepreneurial consultancy where you'll be empowered to influence strategy, develop people, strengthen client relationships and create lasting impact across the built environment.
You'll inherit an established service with an active workload, a strong reputation and a talented team. Beyond that, you'll have the freedom to help define what the service becomes in the years ahead.
If you've successfully led and grown a Health & Safety, Quality, CDM or related consultancy service within the real estate and built environment sector and are looking for a role where your contribution can genuinely influence business direction, we'd love to hear from you.
Why This Role is Different
This isn't simply about maintaining an existing service. It's about leading talented people, developing capability, identifying opportunities, enhancing client value and helping a respected consultancy continue to evolve.
You'll work alongside senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams across the business, with the autonomy to make decisions, challenge thinking and drive positive change.
Most importantly, you'll be joining a business where people are trusted to build their own success rather than follow someone else's blueprint.
This is a leadership opportunity for someone who wants ownership, influence and room to grow a specialist service, not just step into a predefined role.
What You'll Be Doing
As Head of Health, Safety & Quality, you'll provide both strategic and operational leadership across the service. You'll support the team in delivering outstanding advice to clients while helping to shape future growth, develop talent and ensure the service continues to evolve alongside industry and client needs.
- Leading and developing the Health, Safety & Quality service.
- Creating a clear vision and direction for future growth.
- Supporting, mentoring and developing a team of specialists.
- Building an inclusive, positive and high-performing team culture.
- Ensuring consistently high standards of technical delivery and client service.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients across the real estate and built environment sectors.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance and expand service capability.
- Collaborating with colleagues across multiple disciplines to deliver the best outcomes for clients.
- Supporting recruitment and succession planning as the service continues to develop.
- Championing innovation, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
