Head of Hospitality

Location: Richmond Village Bede - Hospital Lane, CV12 0PB

Salary range: £37,945 plus Excellent Benefits

Contract: Permanent - 40hrs

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with occasional late/weekend for functions.

As our Head of Hospitality, you’ll ensure that our restaurants and catering facilities are maintained and delivering delicious meals to the highest standard.

You’ll help us make health happen by:

  • Managing, training and developing other Hospitality employees in the team and keeping a record of all instructions given, especially where use of equipment is involved
  • Being responsible for the management and running of all hospitality operations
  • Ensuring the delivery of high quality and nourishing meals to residents across the Village
  • Leading on staff management duties including rota management, recruitment, staff appraisals and development
  • Working collaboratively with other department heads and function organisers for special events
  • Leading on the promotion of hospitality services to maximise revenue
  • Developing, operating and monitoring appropriate systems for all kitchen areas, ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of all kitchen areas and equipment is maintained to the highest standard
  • Responsible for the management and running of housekeeping & laundry services across the village
  • Liaising on a regular basis with the Head Housekeeper to ensure appropriate stock levels, all machinery is in good working condition and high standards of cleanliness

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

You’ll have experience of managing a team in a hospitality or catering environment or you may have previously worked in a similar role in a care setting. Self-motivated and a great communicator, you’ll be comfortable leading a team. Your organised and flexible approach will ensure our teams are sensitive to the needs of our residents. An active team leader, always leading by example to create and deliver an excellent hospitality experience across the Village.

Because we care for vulnerable people, we’ll need you to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).
