About The Role
Reporting into our senior leadership team, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a broad portfolio including lettings, income management, tenancy services, neighbourhoods, and community engagement. You will lead the transformation of our locality model, increasing our visibility within communities while ensuring customers receive an outstanding, responsive service.

- Salary: £80,000 + £2,500 car allowance
- Location: Birmingham - Hybrid
As the Head of Housing, you will be responsible for leading high-performing teams, driving operational excellence, and delivering against key performance measures, budgets, and regulatory requirements. Working collaboratively across the organisation and with external partners, you will identify opportunities to improve services, challenge traditional ways of working, and ensure every decision supports better outcomes for customers and communities.
This role also has responsibility for improving income collection, reducing void loss, strengthening tenancy services, and ensuring our housing operations remain efficient, compliant, and customer-focused.
About You
We are looking for a proven housing leader who combines strategic thinking with operational excellence. You'll bring:
- Significant leadership experience within housing or a related customer-focused service
- Strong knowledge of housing management, tenancy services, income collection, and void management
- A track record of leading change, improving performance, and developing high-performing teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and partnership skills, with the ability to influence at senior level
- Strong commercial awareness, with experience managing budgets, analysing performance, and making data-driven decisions
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional services and improving customer outcomes
