Head of Housing
Salary: £76,556 per annum
Location: London, Hybrid working.
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Housing to lead our housing services and help us continue to strengthen the experience and outcomes we deliver for our residents.
This is an important role at IDS. As a member of our Senior Management Team, you’ll provide both strategic and operational leadership across Housing, with responsibility for services including tenancy and estate management, allocations and lettings, voids, income maximisation, anti-social behaviour, safeguarding, tenancy sustainment and resident engagement.
The role
You’ll lead and develop our Housing team, creating a culture of high performance, accountability and continuous improvement, while making sure residents remain at the heart of how our services are designed and delivered.
You’ll have a strong focus on service quality and resident experience, using performance information, complaints, feedback and resident insight to understand what is working well and where we need to improve.
You’ll also play an important role in ensuring our housing services meet regulatory and statutory requirements, including the Consumer Standards, with effective oversight of risk, safeguarding and service performance.

As part of the Senior Management Team, you’ll contribute beyond Housing too – working closely with colleagues across IDS, contributing to our strategic priorities and developing strong relationships with residents, partners and other stakeholders.
About you
We’re looking for someone who brings significant senior-level housing management experience and a strong understanding of the social housing environment.
You’ll be an experienced people leader who can develop and support teams while maintaining clear expectations around performance and accountability. You’ll be comfortable balancing strategic thinking with the realities of operational delivery and able to use data, insight and resident feedback to drive improvement.
You’ll also bring a strong understanding of housing legislation, regulation and the Consumer Standards, alongside experience of managing budgets, risk and resources effectively.
