Head of HR

East of England | Hybrid

Shape the Future of a Growing Business

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and strategically focused Head of HR to join a successful, ambitious and growing organisation operating across a large, multi-site footprint.

As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for defining and delivering the people strategy, ensuring it supports the organisation's long-term commercial objectives and future growth plans.

This is a role for a genuine strategic HR leader. We are looking for someone who can influence at executive level, drive organisational effectiveness, strengthen leadership capability and create a high-performing culture, rather than someone whose experience has been primarily operational.

The Role

You will lead the development and execution of the people agenda, ensuring the business has the leadership capability, organisational structure and culture required to achieve its ambitions.

Key areas of focus will include:

  • Developing and delivering a forward-thinking People Strategy aligned to business goals
  • Driving organisational development and workforce planning initiatives
  • Enhancing leadership capability and building robust succession plans
  • Creating and embedding a high-performance culture
  • Leading employee engagement and retention strategies
  • Supporting business transformation and organisational change programmes
  • Using people insights and data to inform strategic decision-making
  • Influencing senior stakeholders and Board members on people-related matters
  • Building an environment that attracts, develops and retains top talent

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
