The Opportunity

We are partnering with a growing, multi-site organisation seeking an experienced Head of HR to play a key role in shaping and delivering its people strategy during an exciting period of growth and transformation. Reporting to a senior executive, you will act as a trusted business partner to the leadership team, providing both strategic direction and hands-on HR support. This is a highly visible role with the opportunity to influence organisational design, workforce planning, leadership capability, and business change initiatives.

The successful individual will combine strong HR expertise with commercial awareness, helping the business achieve its objectives through practical, solutions-focused people strategies.

The Role

As Head of HR, you will lead the HR function while partnering with senior stakeholders across the business. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and delivering the people strategy in line with business objectives.
  • Partnering with senior leaders on organisational design, workforce planning, and change initiatives.
  • Leading and developing the HR team.
  • Providing guidance on complex employee relations matters.
  • Supporting leadership development and management capability.
  • Ensuring HR policies, processes, and practices remain effective and fit for purpose.
  • Driving improvements in employee engagement, performance, and talent development.
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to the leadership team on all people-related matters.

About You

We are looking for a commercially minded HR professional who is comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels. You will ideally have:

  • Experience as a Head of HR or Senior HR Business Partner.
  • Strong employment law and employee relations expertise.
  • Experience supporting organisational growth, change, and transformation.
  • The ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience leading and developing HR teams.
  • A pragmatic, commercially focused, and solutions-oriented approach.
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience.
