Business Area: Nestlé Product Technology Centre Confectionery & Snacking

Location: York Office (hybrid), minimum of 3 days a week in the office
Salary: Circa £75,000 depending on experience

About us

Nestlé's Product Technology Centre (NPTC) for Confectionery & Snacking in York is a global innovation and technical centre. Our colleagues work across disciplines and locations to develop product, process and technology innovation to strengthen and grow our business as well as strengthening manufacturing capability for our 50 factories and markets across the global confectionery and snacking business. Your Impact

As the Head of HR (HR Lead), you will shape and deliver the people agenda for NPTC Confectionery & Snacking in a global remit, ensuring the organisation has the talent, capability and culture needed to achieve its strategic ambitions. Working as a trusted partner to the leadership team, you will lead change, strengthen organisational effectiveness and create an environment where people and teams can thrive.

  • People Strategy: Align talent, organisation and culture priorities with business objectives.
  • Transformation & Change: Lead the people aspects of organisational and business transformation.
  • Leadership Partnership: Coach and challenge senior leaders to build capability and drive performance.
  • HR Leadership & Governance: Lead effective HR delivery, ensuring people practices support business needs and align with Nestlé standards.
  • Organisation Effectiveness: Strengthen structures, ways of working and workforce capability to support future success.
  • Talent & Succession: Build diverse talent pipelines and succession plans for critical roles.
  • Culture & Engagement: Foster an inclusive, high-performing culture where people can do their best work.

Your Ingredients for Success

You will bring strategic HR leadership experience, strong business acumen and the ability to influence at senior levels. You will be comfortable leading change, navigating complexity and delivering results through collaboration and strong stakeholder relationships.

Essential

  • Strategic HR Leadership: Experience leading a broad people agenda and aligning HR expertise, services and governance with business priorities.
  • Business Partnership: Proven ability to influence senior leaders and contribute to business strategy.
  • Transformation & Organisation Design: Experience leading organisational change and capability development initiatives.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to translate business priorities into practical people solutions.
  • Matrix Working: Experience achieving results through influence and collaboration in a complex environment.
  • People Leadership: Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
  • Employment Practice: Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to build credibility and strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.

Desirable

  • Global Experience: Exposure to an international or globally matrixed organisation.
  • Innovation or R&D Environment: Experience supporting technical, research or innovation-led teams.
  • FMCG or Manufacturing: Knowledge of consumer goods, operations or manufacturing environments.
  • Employee Relations: Experience working with employee representatives or trade unions.
