Integrated Human Factors (IHF) Limited

Location: Remote (UK-wide) with quarterly team meetups in Edinburgh

Salary: £80,000 – £100,000 per annum (depending on experience) including up to 10% Bonus

Reports To: Neil Clark, CEO

Contract Type: Permanent

The Role

This is the senior technical and people lead for IHF's Human Factors practice. It sits directly below the CEO, takes ownership of decision-making across the HF function, and is the first escalation point when Team Leads encounter situations that require senior support and guidance. This role provides technical authority, quality governance, and the steady hand that a growing consultancy needs as its HF team scales and the business as a whole grows.

Key Responsibilities

Senior HF Delivery and Quality Assurance

  • Deliver HF project work and take ownership of your own project(s)
  • Lead and quality-assure senior HF delivery across SCTA, HMI design, human performance analysis, and related disciplines
  • Act as the technical authority and final decision-maker across the HF function
  • Accountable for IHF’s CMS (Competency Management System) dashboard – collaborating with Team Leads to track courses, chartership progress, and industry experience across the team
  • Conduct document review and approvals across HF outputs
  • Assess whether suitably qualified and experienced people (SQEP) are being deployed on client engagements - this is a governance responsibility, not just a delivery one
  • Lead new client onboarding on the HF side, including security requirements and compliance

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Client and Commercial Development

  • Support the team in identifying and progressing business development opportunities

  • Act as the first point of escalation for Team Leads encountering people-management situations outside their current experience - performance management, development opportunities, etc
  • Proactively identify risk and development needs across the team rather than waiting for issues to surface

  • Support performance and bonus reviews for the team alongside Team Leads and the CEO
