Have you worked closely with local authority commissioners, building relationships that have led to service growth and new opportunities?

Can you turn market insight, stakeholder engagement and compelling bids into sustainable income growth that makes a real social impact?

A leading charity supporting children and young people is seeking a Head of Income Development to drive growth, identify new opportunities and strengthen relationships across key commissioning networks. Working closely with senior leaders, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping future services and increasing organisational income.

Salary & Flexibility

  • £50,000 to £55,000 FTE
  • Actual salary: £30,000 to £33,000 (22.5 hours per week)

This role offers excellent flexibility, with hybrid working and an expectation of attending the office once a week. The organisation is also open to predominantly remote working, with only occasional travel to the office for meetings and key events.

The Role

You'll lead business development activity, build relationships with local authority commissioners, identify new opportunities and oversee high-quality tenders, bids and framework applications. You'll also manage and develop an Income Development Officer while working collaboratively across the organisation to deliver sustainable growth.

About You

You'll bring:

  • Experience of business development or income generation within the charity or not-for-profit sector.
  • A proven track record of identifying and securing growth opportunities.
  • Experience engaging with commissioners and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong bid, tender and proposal writing skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building, influencing and presentation skills.
  • A collaborative approach and passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
