Head of IFS

We are looking for an experienced Head of IFS to lead the strategy, governance, development and continuous improvement of one of the organisation's most business-critical platforms.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall ownership of the IFS ERP estate, ensuring the platform supports business growth, operational excellence and digital transformation. You will work closely with executive leadership, technology teams and business stakeholders to define and deliver the ERP roadmap while managing both internal teams and external partners.

Whether your background is functional, technical or programme delivery, you'll have a proven track record of leading enterprise-scale IFS environments and delivering successful ERP transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Strategy & Leadership

  • Own the overall IFS strategy across the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year ERP roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Partner with CIO, IT Director and Executive Leadership Team on digital transformation initiatives.
  • Drive adoption of new IFS functionality and best practice.
  • Ensure IFS remains scalable, secure and fit for future business growth.
  • Lead governance around ERP decision making and change control.
  • Present ERP strategy and investment plans to senior leadership.

IFS Cloud Ownership

  • Act as the Product Owner for the IFS platform.
  • Own the lifecycle management of IFS Cloud.
  • Plan and oversee Service Updates and Release Updates.
  • Manage upgrade programmes from legacy IFS Applications into IFS Cloud.
  • Ensure new functionality is evaluated and adopted where appropriate.
  • Develop long-term optimisation plans.

Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary ERP team including:

  • Functional Consultants
  • Technical Consultants
  • Business Analysts
  • Developers
  • Report Developers
  • System Administrators
  • Support Analysts
  • Test Analysts
  • Integration Specialists

Responsibilities include:

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience leading enterprise IFS ERP environments.
  • Proven experience with IFS Cloud.
  • Previous ownership of ERP strategy.
  • Strong leadership experience managing technical and functional teams.
  • Experience delivering ERP transformation programmes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management at executive level.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Experience managing ERP budgets.
  • Vendor management experience.
  • Experience developing ERP roadmaps.
  • Strong governance and change management background.
