Description

At System C, we deliver technology that helps improve outcomes across health and care. We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Head of Implementation Delivery to lead our implementation function and shape the future of customer delivery.

This is a key leadership role within Technical Consulting, responsible for defining implementation strategy, building organisational capability, and ensuring consistent delivery excellence across complex customer programmes. You will operate at both strategic and operational levels, providing leadership through growth, change, and complexity while creating clarity, confidence, and measurable outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Defining and delivering a long-term implementation strategy aligned with business objectives and customer needs
  • Leading a large, multidisciplinary implementation organisation
  • Owning governance, methodologies, quality assurance, controls, and continuous improvement
  • Building the capability, identity, and professional maturity of the Implementation function
  • Creating direction and accountability in complex or ambiguous situations
  • Driving delivery innovation, automation, tooling, and management information improvements
  • Leading workforce planning, succession planning, coaching, recruitment, and organisational development
  • Managing resource planning and capacity to meet portfolio demand
  • Providing senior oversight of strategic and high-risk customer implementations
  • Supporting business planning, commercial decisions, bids, and proposals
  • Driving service improvement and cross-functional transformation initiatives
  • Influencing senior stakeholders and strengthening collaboration across the wider organisation

What We're Looking For

You will bring significant leadership experience within implementation, professional services, technology delivery, or consulting environments.

You'll Also Demonstrate

  • Strong strategic planning and operational leadership capability
  • Experience working with executive and senior leadership teams
  • A successful track record of scaling or transforming delivery functions
  • Strong commercial, financial, and budget management expertise
  • Experience leading large and complex multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • The ability to create clarity and direction in fast-moving and ambiguous environments
  • A passion for customer outcomes, service quality, and continuous improvement
  • Desirable experience with social care systems and/or local authority technology, demonstrating strong domain knowledge
