Head of Income & Contracting
South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust & George Eliot NHS Trust has a 3-month secondment opportunity for the role of Head of Income & Contracting.
About the Role
As an essential member of the Income & Contracting team, you will be responsible for providing a timely and accurate income & contracting management service. Technically strong, with in-depth contracting experience and an appreciation of the current NHS regimes. Due to the complexities of the information that you will be dealing with, it is essential you have the capabilities to understand, interpret and convey financial concepts clearly and persuasively to finance and non-finance colleagues. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, will be essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on the provision of a timely and accurate Income and contract management service to South Warwickshire Foundation NHS Trust (SWFT) and George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust (GEH) by ensuring that financial systems and processes are efficient and effective.
- Leads on Trust-wide income (contracts) financial reporting, as well as coordinating Divisional income.
- Provide the main interface for both Trust’s with ICBs on income, activity, and contracting queries ensuring compliance with all national timetables and requirements.
- Interpret and facilitate any implications from NICE guidance/service developments and ensure that any changes are followed through to the appropriate Division as well as ensure that income is maximized.
- Ensure all statutory NHS accounts and returns are completed to timescales and legal requirements, as well as represent a true and fair view.
- Be responsible for the management and performance of a team of staff.
