Head of IT, OT & Digital

The Head of IT, OT & Digital is responsible for leading the organisation’s technology and digital strategy, ensuring that IT, Operational Technology, cyber security, data and digital capabilities support business objectives.

As a senior leadership role, the position will act as a trusted adviser to the Executive Team and Board, translating business priorities into secure, scalable and commercially valuable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and delivering the IT, OT and digital strategy and technology roadmap.
  • Leading IT, OT and digital teams and building a high-performing, customer-focused culture.
  • Driving digital transformation, automation, AI adoption and process improvement across the organisation.
  • Overseeing secure and reliable IT and OT operations, including infrastructure, cloud, networking, applications and service delivery.
  • Leading cyber security strategy, risk management, compliance and incident response.
  • Developing data governance, analytics, reporting and business intelligence capabilities.
  • Ensuring effective business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements.
  • Managing technology budgets, investment portfolios, suppliers, contracts and strategic technology partners.
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders to identify technology opportunities, priorities and business improvements.
  • Delivering measurable improvements in productivity, operational performance, service quality and technology adoption.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have significant senior IT leadership experience covering IT, OT and digital, with a strong track record in technology strategy, digital transformation, cyber security, data governance and operational service delivery.

They will bring strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, leadership, stakeholder management, programme delivery and change management skills, alongside knowledge of cloud platforms, Microsoft 365, ITIL, enterprise applications, cyber security frameworks and business continuity.
