IT Manager / Head of IT

Location: Dudley or London

Working pattern: Hybrid, 3–4 days onsite

Salary: £70,000–£80,000

A long-established real estate business is hiring an IT Manager / Head of IT to lead infrastructure, security, and IT operations across a multi-site European business.

This is a replacement hire for a role that now needs stronger leadership, clearer strategy, and a more consistent approach to IT across the group.

The role

You’ll take ownership of IT strategy and operations across the UK business, while helping coordinate standards and direction across European offices.

This is a leadership-first role with some hands-on involvement where needed - roughly 80% strategic/managerial and 20% hands-on.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead and manage a UK-based IT team of 4
  • Set IT direction, standards, and best practice across multiple UK and European locations
  • Improve infrastructure performance across the group, including office Wi-Fi, device setup, and overall operational reliability
  • Oversee core Microsoft and cloud infrastructure, including Entra ID / Azure AD and Azure environments
  • Work across a mixed estate that includes AWS-hosted services, SAP, on-prem servers, and smaller regional data centre setups
  • Build a more joined-up IT and security strategy across regions
  • Help move the business toward stronger security standards, including Cyber Essentials Plus readiness
  • Support senior stakeholders and be comfortable dealing with urgent operational issues when they arise

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
