Summary
This is a bit different from your typical IT leadership role.
We're working with a mission-driven technology company led by a founder who has done it before, having built and exited a previous business for a significant sum. The team is growing quickly and they're looking for someone to take ownership of the internal technology estate and help build the foundations for the next phase of growth.
You'll be responsible for keeping the lights on, but this isn't a glorified IT support role. The interesting part is understanding how the business works, spotting inefficiencies, improving workflows, integrating systems, and helping the company scale without adding unnecessary complexity.
The company has around 50 employees today and plenty of room to grow from here.
About You
You'll probably come from an IT Manager, Applications Manager, Business Systems Manager, or similar background and enjoy sitting somewhere between technology and operations. You like understanding how businesses actually work. Not just the infrastructure underneath them, but the processes, bottlenecks and workflows that determine whether people can move quickly or not. You'll take ownership of Microsoft 365, devices, networks, security and core business applications, but you'll also spend a lot of time configuring and customising third-party systems to better serve the needs of the business.

There's a small technical team in place to support integrations and systems work, so previous line management experience would be valuable.
This role reports directly to the founder and comes with a genuine opportunity to shape how the company operates over the coming years.
What We're Looking For
- Experience owning and supporting IT infrastructure in a growing business
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience
- Good understanding of endpoint management, networking and infrastructure security
- Experience configuring, customising and supporting third-party business applications
- Someone who enjoys improving business processes and workflows
- Experience leading projects across multiple systems and stakeholders
- Previous people management experience
- UK-based and comfortable working remotely

Nice To Have
- Security certifications or formal security training
- Salesforce administration, integration or development experience
- Experience with OfficeNet
- Experience building integrations, automations and internal tooling
