Head of IT | D365 Business Central | London (Hybrid) | 2 Year FTC

We're supporting a growing retail business in the search for a Head of IT to lead technology strategy, business systems and IT operations. With D365 Business Central at the heart of the environment, this role will play a key part in shaping future technology investment and supporting the company's continued growth.

What you'll be doing

  • Owning and delivering the overall IT strategy
  • Leading the internal IT function and managing third-party technology partners
  • Taking responsibility for the performance, development and roadmap of Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Working with senior stakeholders across finance, operations, procurement and commercial teams to improve business processes
  • Leading systems improvement, integration and transformation initiatives
  • Managing infrastructure, networks, security and support services
  • Driving improvements around reporting, data quality and business intelligence
  • Managing IT budgets, supplier contracts and technology investments
  • Ensuring appropriate governance, resilience and cyber security measures are in place
  • Building an IT function capable of supporting a growing multi-site business

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience leading an IT function as a Head of IT, IT Director or Senior IT Manager
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Experience delivering ERP and business systems programmes
  • A commercial mindset and the ability to align technology decisions with business objectives
  • A background within retail, ecommerce, wholesale or a similar fast-moving environment
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and technology partners
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at board and leadership level
  • A practical leadership style and willingness to remain close to key projects when needed
