Location: Glasgow – Hybrid, 2–3 days per week onsite
Salary: Circa £80,000 basic + bonus
The Opportunity
Tenth Revolution Group is supporting a well-established agricultural commodities and supply-chain business with the appointment of a new Head of IT.
Operating across farming, international trade and logistics, the business relies heavily on technology to support complex commercial operations and the movement of goods throughout the UK and Europe.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious technology professional ready to take a genuine step into senior IT leadership. You may currently be working as an IT Manager, IT Lead, Applications Manager, Business Systems Manager or Senior IT Project Manager and looking for greater strategic responsibility and influence.
The role requires someone who can understand how the business operates, identify opportunities for improvement and use technology, data and automation to deliver meaningful change. It is not simply about maintaining systems or managing day-to-day IT operations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Taking ownership of the organisation’s IT strategy, roadmap and technology priorities.
- Working with senior leaders to understand business challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Leading the development and optimisation of ERP and wider business systems.
- Driving digital transformation initiatives across operational and commercial functions.
- Improving how the organisation uses data, reporting, automation and AI.
- Assessing existing processes and identifying where technology can improve efficiency and decision-making.
- Overseeing major technology projects from initial business case through to delivery.
- Managing relationships with technology partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ensuring technology investment is commercially focused and aligned with business objectives.
- Providing clear advice and direction to the senior leadership team.
- Developing the organisation’s longer-term technology capability and approach.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
