Head of IT & Business Systems | ERP, Business Central, IT Separation & MSP Management | £550 - £650 per day (outside IR35)

A fast-growing UK renewable energy business is hiring a Head of IT & Business Systems to lead technology through a major acquisition, systems carve-out and operational scale-up.

The business develops and operates biomethane and waste-to-energy sites across the UK. With a significant acquisition nearing completion, this role will take ownership of the IT transition and help shape the longer-term systems strategy across a multi-site operation.

This is a hands-on, broad role suited to someone who combines programme delivery, ERP/business systems experience and the confidence to manage suppliers and challenge technical decisions.

Head of IT & Business Systems | Key responsibilities

  • Lead IT separation and transition activity through acquisition completion
  • Own the relationship with MSPs, Business Central partners and third-party suppliers
  • Oversee the carve-out and validation of Business Central, SharePoint and wider business systems
  • Map end-to-end processes across finance, operations, supply chain and regulatory reporting
  • Assess Business Central’s long-term fit and define the wider systems roadmap
  • Evaluate CRM, logistics and weighbridge integrations alongside core ERP capability
  • Provide light-touch oversight of operational technology across UK sites
  • Identify delivery risks early and drive practical resolutions

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
