Head of IT Infrastructure

Opportunity Overview
Would you like to own & lead the IT Infrastructure for a mid-sized global company, including the roadmap, and deliver its modernisation & standardisation? This Head of IT Infrastructure opportunity, reporting to the CIO, is to define and deliver the global Infrastructure Strategy – cloud, networks, servers and workplace tech – moving from legacy / regional to a modern & standardised IT Infrastructure to improve reliability & supportability.

  • Develop and deliver the global IT infrastructure roadmap to standardise infrastructure to improve reliability and supportability as it moves from site/ regional to centralised / group IT function.
  • Lead & Develop the Infrastructure team to deliver the infrastructure projects successfully.
  • Own budget & contract management of all infrastructure including selection and negotiations.
  • Ensure 3rd line support delivery with a focus on ITIL ensuring business needs are met.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to facilitate the adoption of change.
  • Ensure IT Infrastructure fits the needs of the business considering growth.

Qualifications
We’d like to hear from you if you can demonstrate:

  • A solid background in IT Infrastructure engineering & management with a mid-sized company.
  • Technical engagement in technology evaluation & selection to create the roadmap / technology selection - cloud, networks, servers, workplace tech, Azure hybrid & MS 365.
  • Successfully delivered technology change through successful team leadership.
  • Team development to create a high performing team.
  • Experience of ITIL.
  • Communication, negotiation and influencing expertise.

Compensation
Salary: £90,000 - £100,000 + £7k car allowance + bonus + excellent comprehensive benefits package.

Location
Bristol Hybrid – 2 / 3 days a week in the office.
