Head of Infrastructure Delivery

£85,000 - £100,000 + Bonus
Hybrid - Manchester x2 days a week

We are working with a well-established organisation to appoint a Head of Infrastructure Delivery, responsible for overseeing the delivery of a diverse technology operations portfolio spanning infrastructure, platforms, networks, operational technology and other business-critical services.

This is a high-profile leadership position suited to an experienced delivery professional with strong technical knowledge, capable of driving performance, influencing senior stakeholders and ensuring the successful execution of complex technology and infrastructure programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership across the organisation's technology operations portfolio, encompassing infrastructure, platform and operational technology projects.
  • Oversee programme governance, planning, prioritisation and dependency management across multiple workstreams and initiatives.
  • Work closely with senior leaders within Infrastructure, Networks, Platform Operations, Database Administration, Service Management and Site Reliability Engineering functions.
  • Lead risk, issue and change management processes, ensuring effective governance and clear reporting across the technology estate.
  • Ensure operational resilience, service availability and readiness are considered throughout the programme lifecycle and embedded within delivery practices.

About You

  • Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale infrastructure, technology operations or enterprise-wide technology programmes.
  • Strong technical understanding of infrastructure environments, networking, platforms, databases and operational technology.
  • Proven ability to engage, influence and constructively challenge senior technical and business stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience managing complex programme schedules, interdependencies and resource allocation.
  • Previous experience within a regulated, enterprise-scale or 24/7 operational environment would be advantageous.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience leading large-scale Infrastructure, Technology Operations (TechOps) or Technical Delivery programmes.
  • Strong background across Infrastructure, Networks, Platforms, Databases, Service Management and SRE environments.
  • Experience managing complex portfolios, programme roadmaps, dependencies and resource planning.
  • Demonstrable success delivering business-critical infrastructure and transformation projects within enterprise-scale environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to challenge and influence senior technical leaders.
  • Experience implementing governance, change control, risk management and delivery reporting frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, planning and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience within a 24/7, highly regulated or mission-critical environment is advantageous.
