Our client is a leading healthcare organisation, delivering high-quality care to millions of patients every year. With ambitious plans for continued growth and investment, they are looking to appoint an experienced Head of Insurer Relations to play a key role in shaping and strengthening their commercial partnerships.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded leader who enjoys building executive-level relationships, negotiating complex agreements and influencing business strategy within the healthcare sector.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you'll lead the organisation's relationships with major private medical insurers, ensuring strong commercial partnerships that support business growth while delivering an outstanding experience for patients.
Working cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Leadership teams, you'll negotiate commercial agreements, resolve complex issues, identify new opportunities and help shape the future commercial strategy of the business. You'll also manage and motivate a team, and be responsible for overseeing workloads and delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with major private medical insurers.
- Lead negotiations relating to commercial contracts, pricing and reimbursement agreements.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships and drive sustainable revenue growth.
- Act as the senior point of contact for insurer-related commercial matters.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve commercial performance and operational effectiveness.
- Resolve complex commercial issues while maintaining long-term, collaborative relationships.
- Monitor healthcare and insurance market trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risk.
- Provide strategic insight and recommendations to senior leadership.
About You
We're looking for a commercially driven professional with experience managing strategic relationships within the healthcare/Insurance sector ideally.
You'll bring:
- Experience working with private healthcare providers, private medical insurers or healthcare commissioning organisations.
- A strong track record of negotiating commercial contracts and managing high-value stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent commercial awareness and financial understanding.
- Outstanding communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery.
- A collaborative leadership style with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
