🌟 The Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Head of Insurer Relationship Management to lead our strategic relationships with insurance carriers across our UK and global travel and pet insurance portfolio.
This is a senior, commercially focused role with responsibility for securing sustainable insurance capacity, negotiating complex commercial arrangements and ensuring our insurer partnerships support growth and profitability.

You’ll work closely with insurers, brokers, underwriting partners and senior stakeholders to shape innovative products, optimise portfolio performance and ensure we operate to the highest standards of regulatory and customer governance.
🌟 What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the insurer relationship and capacity strategy across our travel and pet insurance portfolio.
- Develop and execute renewal strategies, securing sustainable capacity and commercially competitive terms.
- Build and manage senior relationships across UK insurers, global markets and Lloyd’s syndicates.
- Lead complex negotiations covering commercial terms, commissions, SLAs, underwriting authorities and contracts.
- Partner with the Insurance Product team to develop innovative travel and pet insurance propositions, including new coverage and digital solutions.
- Monitor portfolio performance, including GWP, loss ratios and market trends, providing clear insight to senior leadership and the Board.
- Oversee the performance and governance of TPAs and global assistance providers, ensuring contractual and service standards are met.
- Ensure insurer partnerships and products align with FCA requirements, Consumer Duty, PROD 4 and customer outcome expectations.
- Identify opportunities to diversify capacity, improve profitability and support business growth.
- Provide strategic insight on market developments, risk and emerging opportunities.

🌟 What we’re looking for:
You’ll be a senior insurance professional with a strong commercial track record and the confidence to operate at executive and insurer level.
You’ll bring:
- Solid experience in corporate insurance, underwriting, risk, broking or strategic insurer account management.
- Strong experience within travel insurance, A&H or a closely related specialty insurance market.
- A proven track record of negotiating complex insurance contracts, placements or underwriting arrangements.
- Strong understanding of FCA regulation, Consumer Duty and product governance, ideally including PROD 4.
- Excellent commercial, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Experience interpreting insurance contracts, policy wordings and financial/portfolio performance.
- The ability to build trusted senior relationships while confidently challenging and influencing partners.
- Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to balance commercial growth, risk and customer outcomes.
- ACII or equivalent professional insurance qualification would be highly desirable.
