About the role:

The Head of Internal Communications and Engagement is a senior leadership role within PwC UK's Corporate Affairs function. Responsible for shaping and delivering the firm's internal engagement and communication strategy, the role brings PwC's priorities, performance and transformation agenda to life through clear and compelling communications. Working closely with senior leaders, including the Senior Partner and Executive team, the successful candidate will provide strategic counsel on leadership communications, organisational change and colleague engagement. This high-impact position combines long-term strategic direction with oversight of transformation programmes and day-to-day internal communications.

What your days will look like:

  • Lead PwC UK’s internal engagement and communications strategy, ensuring colleagues and partners understand and connect with the firm’s strategy, performance, culture and transformation priorities.
  • Shape and deliver compelling firmwide narratives, leadership communications and engagement campaigns that bring business priorities to life and foster meaningful colleague and partner engagement.
  • Serve as a trusted adviser to senior leadership, providing strategic communications counsel on organisational priorities, change programmes, sensitive issues and reputation-impacting matters.
  • Lead a high-performing communications team and oversee internal channels, transformation communications and major events, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned to the firm’s broader reputation and business objectives.

This role is for you if:

  • Significant experience leading internal engagement, corporate communications and transformation/change communications within a large, complex organisation.
  • Proven ability to act as a trusted adviser to senior leadership, providing strategic counsel, influence and constructive challenge at executive level.
  • Expertise in translating business strategy and complex organisational priorities into clear, compelling narratives that drive employee and partner engagement.
  • Strong track record of leading major organisational change programmes, with a deep understanding of the links between strategy, culture, leadership, communications and reputation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, political judgement and organisational awareness, with experience navigating sensitive, confidential and reputationally significant matters.
  • Outstanding communication, people leadership and coaching skills, combined with commercial acumen and the ability to turn strategy into effective delivery and measurable outcomes.
