Head of Internal Systems

(This is a hybrid role requiring 1-2 days a week in our Portsmouth office)

Summary

Lead Forensics is a rapidly growing, leading SaaS company with products in the B2B sales and marketing space. We’re seeking a Head of Internal Systems Development to join a team that develops and operates internal solutions that support and accelerate business functions. This includes contributing to pragmatic build vs buy decisions, integrating third-party platforms where we buy, and building our own solutions where appropriate (including an increasing focus on Agentic AI-enabled workflows). The main focus is our internal CRM system and its integrations with other systems.

You will lead the internal systems development team day-to-day: shaping the backlog with stakeholders, guiding technical design, and ensuring high-quality delivery. This is a blended leadership and hands-on role, with coding an expected part of the position, and strong full-stack experience essential.

You will need to be highly competent in our core tech stack (.NET, MS SQL Server, with hybrid hosting into Azure) and able to critique and improve the quality of the code produced. Foundational knowledge of Agentic AI systems is strongly desirable. This role would suit someone with a strong development background, expertise in clean code, and strong interpersonal skills, who has moved into a management / team-lead career path.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Management

  • Drive the planning cycle with business stakeholders to define and prioritise the roadmap.
  • Elicit and document requirements (including non-functional requirements such as security, reliability, and auditability).
  • Manage review of deliverables with stakeholders to ensure their needs have been met.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
