This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of International Alliances based in United Kingdom.
This is a senior commercial leadership opportunity focused on building and scaling strategic partnerships across Europe and MENA. You will shape an international alliances strategy spanning defense primes, systems integrators, OEMs, technology companies, and emerging DefenseTech innovators. The role has a direct impact on revenue growth by expanding market access, strengthening customer propositions, and accelerating high-value opportunities. You will work closely with Sales while partnering with Product, Engineering, Legal, Government Relations, and executive leadership. The environment is fast-moving, international, and mission-critical, with significant autonomy to build processes and partnerships from the ground up. This role is ideal for a commercially driven leader who can combine strategic thinking, complex deal-making, and hands-on execution.
Accountabilities:
- Own the development and execution of an international partnership strategy, with primary responsibility for European and MENA markets.
- Identify, evaluate, secure, onboard, enable, and scale high-value technology, channel, integration, distribution, manufacturing, and strategic partners.
- Build long-term relationships with defense primes, systems integrators, OEMs, emerging DefenseTech companies, government organizations, and relevant innovation ecosystems.
- Align partnerships with specific commercial objectives, target accounts, defense programs, and sales pursuits to generate qualified pipeline, improve customer access, and increase win probability.
- Lead strategic and commercial due diligence, assessing partner capabilities, reputation, technical fit, financial stability, customer access, competitive positioning, incentives, and execution risks.
- Coordinate cross-functional reviews covering technical, operational, legal, contractual, security, compliance, financial, and business considerations.
- Develop clear Go/No-Go recommendations and executive briefings outlining the strategic rationale, commercial value, risks, and expected contribution of prospective partnerships.
- Structure and negotiate partnership frameworks, including NDAs, teaming agreements, memorandums of understanding, reseller and distribution agreements, and strategic alliance agreements.
- Develop scalable partnership playbooks, onboarding processes, governance models, sales rules of engagement, enablement materials, and performance metrics.
- Identify priority countries, defense programs, customer segments, and opportunities where strategic partners can accelerate contracting, integration, adoption, or market access.
- Build and execute joint go-to-market strategies, including co-selling, demonstrations, capture activities, proposals, account plans, and marketing initiatives.
- Manage ongoing executive-level partner relationships through business reviews, pipeline assessments, performance tracking, risk management, and future growth planning.
- Collaborate with Sales, Capture, Proposal, Engineering, Product, Legal, and executive teams to coordinate partner participation and deliver strong customer outcomes.
- Establish best practices and scalable operating models that can support future regional or sector-focused partnership teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
