Our client is a professional membership body in the financial services sector with a global presence and representing over 30,000 members. They offer a varied events programme including major residential conferences and webinars to accommodate their international members.
We are looking for an experienced events professional to take on a Head of Department role, oversee a team of managers and coordinators and shape a programme of international events including managing a generous budget. The successful candidate will have experience delivering global events, including supervising a team based abroad.

This is a business crucial role, responsible for generating a large portion of the organisation’s annual revenue. Key duties will include:
- Managing a portfolio of over 80 events
- Creation of an events strategy and calendar
- Manage relationships with representatives of volunteer groups
- Budget oversight
A background in a professional membership body or higher education will be key. This would be an excellent next step for a senior manager of department head looking for a position with a huge amount of strategic input and a global focus. Please note that this role will include three to four international trips per year.
