Our client:

International premium spirits business with an established global footprint and ambitious plans for future growth. Operating across multiple international markets, they have built a strong portfolio of premium brands and are now seeking an experienced commercial leader to accelerate expansion, strengthen existing partnerships, and unlock new opportunities across key export regions.

This appointment represents a rare opportunity to join a growing organisation where commercial success is driven by entrepreneurial thinking, agility, and a genuine ability to influence business direction.

The role:

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity with full responsibility for driving international commercial growth across established and emerging export markets, with specific focus on Asia.

You will develop and execute the international sales strategy, identify new growth opportunities, strengthen distributor partnerships, and lead commercial performance across multiple territories. The role also carries responsibility for Global Travel Retail and bulk sales, providing a broad and varied international remit.

This is a genuinely autonomous position where you will influence market priorities, route-to-market strategy, distributor selection and long-term commercial direction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering international growth strategies
  • Managing and expanding global distributor networks, specifically across Asia
  • Driving branded and bulk spirits sales performance
  • Building senior relationships with importers, customers and strategic partners
  • Leading forecasting, pricing and commercial planning activities
  • Identifying new market opportunities and routes to growth
  • Working cross-functionally with marketing, operations and finance teams
  • Representing the business internationally

Ideal candidate:

We are keen to engage with experienced international drinks professionals who have a proven track record of delivering export growth through distributor-led markets. You may currently be working as Head of Export, Export Director, International Sales Director, Head of International Sales or Senior Export Manager within the spirits sector.

You'll likely bring:

  • Significant experience within premium spirits
  • Demonstrable success building and developing international markets
  • Strong distributor, importer and customer relationships across key export regions
  • Experience within Global Travel Retail and/or duty free channels
  • Commercial expertise covering negotiations, pricing, forecasting and P&L management
  • A hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset suited to a high-growth environment
  • The credibility and ambition to operate as a strategic partner to the senior leadership team

£80-95k plus car allowance and up to 25% bonus
