Head of Investor Relations | VC-Backed Deep Tech Scale-Up | London, Office-Based
The Client
Harmonic is delighted to be partnering with one of Europe's most ambitious deep tech companies. The business designs and manufactures advanced AI-driven hardware that is already deployed with some of the world's largest industrial manufacturers, and it is backed by leading venture and strategic industrial investors.
Headquartered in London, it has built a world-class engineering team drawn from the leading global technology companies. Scaling manufacturing, operating across several countries and broadening its investor base all place new demands on finance, and the function is now being built out to match.
The Role
Reporting to a top quality CFO, the Head of Investor Relations will own the company's investor relationships and communications end to end. As the business broadens its investor base across the US and Europe and plans for the long-term path to public markets, this person will be the key point of contact for existing and prospective investors across the US, UK and Europe, and will build the cadence, materials and infrastructure that take investor relations from a scaling private company to an IPO-ready one.
The role combines relationship ownership with hands-on delivery: running investor updates and board reporting, owning the cap table, and working closely with the CFO and founders on each funding round.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
