At Promon
At Promon, we protect the apps people rely on every day. Our award-winning application shielding solutions are trusted globally by some of the world’s most impactful companies. As cybersecurity threats evolve and customer expectations rise, sustaining a secure, and well-functioning internal IT environment is critical to how we operate as a company.
That’s where you come in.
We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Head of IT. In this role, you will combine strategic ownership with a hands-on leadership style. Our Head of IT will report directly to the CFO and line-manage the IT Operations Manager (whom the remainder of the IT Team report to), while working closely with relevant stakeholders across the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Own systems design as a primary responsibility, including information flow and system integrations across the organization; approve new systems, define technology standards, and set the sourcing strategy across internal, external, and cloud delivery
- Own internal IT strategy, governance, and capability planning — set the internal IT strategy and roadmap, establish a right-sized governance framework (policies, delegated authority, decision forums), and manage the IT capability plan
- Own the IT budget and vendor relationships — manage the total IT budget and investment plan, lead supplier negotiations, and own strategic vendor relationships
- Partner with Compliance & Security on risk and continuity — act as the primary IT contact for operational security and compliance, own ICT third-party risk management, and define continuity and recovery requirements
- Lead the IT team — line-manage the IT Operations Manager (whom the remainder of the IT Team report to), work hands-on with the team during peak periods, and report on IT performance, risk, and cost

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
