The role is responsible for both Technical Services (Infrastructure) and Business Systems, ensuring technology enables the business whilst maintaining stability, security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

IT Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, develop and inspire the IT function, ensuring appropriate organisational structure, capability and resourcing to meet business requirements.

  • Partner with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities where technology can improve operational efficiency, customer experience and business performance.
  • Ensure strategic initiatives gain engagement and endorsement from key business stakeholders.
  • Represent IT in business development activities, customer engagements and RFP/RFI processes, providing technical expertise and cost-effective solutions.
  • Establish and maintain processes for evaluating, approving and implementing new technologies, systems and applications.
  • Monitor market, technology and industry trends to ensure the organisation remains innovative and competitive.

IT Operations & Service Delivery

  • Ensure the availability, security, performance and operational integrity of all business-critical applications and infrastructure services.
  • Lead the delivery of reliable IT services through effective service management processes and clearly defined service level agreements.
  • Establish and maintain robust change management and change control practices that balance operational stability with business agility.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
