Head of IT

Location: Yeovil / Taunton / Exeter
Salary: Competitive + Benefits

We’re working with an established multi-site UK law firm looking for a Head of IT to lead its in-house technology function.

This is a hands-on leadership role with responsibility for the firm's IT strategy, transformation, and day-to-day technology operations. You’ll lead a team of seven and work directly with Partners and senior leadership to shape the firm's technology roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the IT and technology strategy
  • Lead technology transformation and AI initiatives
  • Oversee legal practice and document management systems
  • Lead the in-house IT team and key technology suppliers
  • Oversee M365, Azure, infrastructure, cyber security, and business systems
  • Manage IT budgets, roadmaps, and technology investment

  • Current or recent IT leadership experience within a UK law firm
  • Strong legal technology and transformation experience
  • Broad knowledge across M365, Azure, cloud, infrastructure, and cyber security
  • Strong leadership and senior stakeholder-management skills
