Head of IT Products
A leading UK organisation is seeking an experienced Head of IT Products to lead the strategic direction, governance, and performance of an enterprise-wide technology product portfolio. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an individual who can drive a product-led operating model, ensuring technology investments deliver measurable business value, exceptional user experiences, and secure, scalable services across a complex multi-site environment.
Reporting to the technology leadership team, you will be responsible for shaping and governing a diverse portfolio of technology products, overseeing investment decisions, product strategy, lifecycle management, and benefits realisation. The role will work closely with senior business leaders, technology teams, and external partners to align technology products with strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and owning the technology product portfolio strategy and roadmap.
- Driving product-led thinking and embedding best practice product management across the organisation.
- Leading Product Owners and Technical Analysts to deliver measurable business outcomes.
- Managing portfolio prioritisation, investment decisions, and benefits realisation.
- Establishing governance frameworks, adoption measures, and product health reviews.
- Building strong executive stakeholder relationships and influencing strategic decision making.
- Managing strategic supplier relationships, commercial negotiations, and vendor performance.
- Driving simplification, rationalisation, and reduction of technical debt across the estate.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for a senior technology leader who can demonstrate:
- Experience leading enterprise scale technology product organisations.
- Successful implementation of Product Operating Models within complex environments.
- Ownership of large technology portfolios, including investment prioritisation and financial accountability.
- Strong executive stakeholder management, including board level engagement.
- Experience across a broad technology landscape including ERP, Digital, Data, Operational Technology, and enterprise platforms.
- Expertise in product portfolio management, governance, benefits realisation, and product lifecycle management.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing key technology suppliers and complex contracts.
- A track record of building high performing teams and creating a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
