Head of Learning & Development

We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation to appoint a Head of Learning & Development into a broad and influential role within its HR function.
The Head of Learning & Development will play a key role in shaping and delivering the organisation’s learning, talent and capability agenda – supporting wider business strategy, organisational change and employee engagement. This is an opportunity for an experienced L&D / Talent professional who enjoys operating strategically but remains equally comfortable getting close to delivery.

- Developing and delivering business-wide initiatives across leadership, culture and capability.
- Supporting the organisation’s talent management, succession and high-potential development agenda.
- Coaching individuals and teams across the organisation.
- Partnering with senior leaders to identify development needs and create commercially relevant solutions.
- Managing external learning partners and supporting L&D budgets.
- Helping evolve the use of digital learning and emerging technologies, including AI, to improve accessibility, personalisation and impact.
We’re looking for someone who can bring:
- Strong experience across Learning & Development, Talent or Organisational Development.
- Experience supporting strategic initiatives and organisational change.
- Credibility with Executive and senior leadership stakeholders.
- A combination of strategic thinking and strong operational delivery.
- Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to challenge constructively.
- An interest in how digital learning, data and AI can enhance the learning experience and demonstrate impact.
