Job Overview
We are looking for a Head of Learning to deliver Learning interventions that support the execution of business strategies for Provide Community Interest Company (CIC) and enhance business performance of Provide CIC at a group-wide level.
Role Summary
To underpin delivery of the corporate strategy and associated objectives, redesign, lead and manage the annual objective setting and appraisal (Professional Development Review – PDR) process
- Support achievement of the Corporate Strategy of Provide Group, including supporting the on-boarding of new colleagues through the induction programme, ensuring high-levels of engagement
- Principle oversight for the provision of Coaching across the Provide Group
- Lead the development and delivery of essentials management training at all levels ensuring that effective people management skills are a priority for management development
Main duties of the job
- Responsible for creating and maintaining a ‘Learning Plan’ for the Provide Group
- Develop the organisation’s culture to ensure that it becomes more inclusive, including developing programmes to support the enhancement of our colleague networks - including Ethnic Minority, LGBTQ+, Men’s and Disability
- Lead the development of career pathways including apprenticeships to expand the workforce and improve recruitment and retention
- Develop interventions and training to support the organisation’s ‘Freedom to Speak Up’ (Whistleblowing) strategy and action plan - including ‘Active Bystander’ training, where both individual and team development designed to foster an open, transparent, and honest workplace culture where colleagues are encouraged to positively challenge inappropriate behaviour
- Principle accountability for the delivery of mandatory and essential training for the Provide Group ensuring compliance and reporting

We work from a variety of community settings, such as community hospitals, community clinics, schools, nursing homes and primary care settings, as well as within people’s homes to provide more than 40 services to children, families and adults across Essex, Dorset, East Anglia and the North of England.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Degree or Equivalent
- Level 7 or equivalent qualification in Learning and development, HR or Education
Desirable criteria
- Project management qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of the full apprenticeship learner journey
- Experience in using learning management systems e.g. Totara, Kallidus, Moodle
- Experience of using digital training tools, e-learning techniques, and delivery methods
- Proven experience as a Learning and Development Lead, Trainer, or similar role
Desirable criteria
- Experience working in health and social care sector
- Previous involvement in audits, inspections or provider monitoring visits
- Experience in policy development
