Senior Legal Leader Role
This is a senior in-house legal leadership role based at Avis Budget Group’s International Headquarters in Bracknell, Berkshire, reporting directly to the Vice President, Legal, International.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership: The role forms a key part of the International Legal leadership team and requires close collaboration with senior stakeholders across multiple business functions, including:
- Sales
- Procurement
- Operations
- Marketing
- Fleet
- Compliance

Team Management: The successful candidate will lead and manage the Bracknell HQ legal team, which currently comprises legal, contracts, and administrative support personnel, with flexibility for future evolution of the team structure.

Commercial Focus: The role requires a commercially focused legal professional with strong technical expertise, sound judgement, and a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach.

Legal and Operational Matters: The successful candidate will be expected to manage a broad range of legal and operational matters within a fast-paced, international, consumer-facing business environment.

Balancing Priorities: The role also requires the ability to balance legal risk against commercial and operational priorities while supporting strategic business objectives.

Oversight and Support: In addition, the successful candidate will work closely with the Vice President, Legal, International to oversee legal spend and resource allocation, monitor legal costs throughout the financial year, and support the strategic prioritisation of legal workstreams across the business.
