About the Role

We're looking for an interim Head of Legal to step into a General Counsel–level role with broad scope across corporate legal, strategic advisory, and treasury/TradFi matters. This is a senior, high-impact engagement - you'll oversee the legal team, act as a strategic partner to leadership on key initiatives, advise on upcoming product launches, and bring hands-on experience with traditional finance legal work.

What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic legal direction on major company initiatives while overseeing and managing the legal team to ensure continuity and consistency of legal operations.
  • Advise on legal and structural considerations as we build, launch, and potentially spin out new products (regulatory considerations, entity and incentives structuring, employee contractual arrangements).
  • Act as a trusted legal advisor to senior leadership, with regular 1:1 engagement with key executives including the Executive Director.
  • Apply your strong traditional finance legal expertise to lead legal work related to treasury operations, including trading documentation, derivatives agreements, and negotiations.
  • Provide day-to-day legal counsel across corporate, commercial (including IP), employment and operational matters.
  • Support cross-functional teams (Product, Growth, Operations) in integrating legal and compliance considerations into planning and execution.
  • Ensure legal policies, controls, and governance practices stay fit for purpose, adjusting them as needed.
  • Represent Legal at Board meetings as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
