About this role

This role improves the effectiveness and scalability of the Legal function by creating better processes, clearer service discipline and more practical use of technology. It helps Legal handle growing demand with more consistency, visibility and operational control.

Location: This role can be based in Amsterdam, London, or Berlin.

Reporting to: Director of Legal

These are some of the key components to the position:

  • Own and lead the legal function's technology, automation and AI strategy, designing and delivering solutions that improve how legal works across processes, data and service delivery.
  • Lead and develop the team, including legal engineers, setting direction for building, deploying and maintaining legal tools, agents and automations.
  • Design, build and deploy scalable legal solutions — workflows, intake and triage, automation and knowledge management — for recurring legal activity.
  • Own legal data and risk intelligence, building dashboards, reporting and metrics that give the General Counsel and executive clear visibility of legal activity, risk and performance.
  • Evaluate, select and govern legal technology and AI tooling, ensuring solutions are safe, well-governed and deliver genuine value rather than hype.
  • Drive adoption and change across legal teams through training, process adoption and embedding new ways of working.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
